Reasons why I would be an effective Living Donor
Buddy....
I can offer testimony to the procedure of being a bone
marrow donor. I have been there. Unfortunately, I can also help with
the emotional trauma of my recipient surviving only 6 months. There is
also joy and will also share that.

Reasons why I would be an effective Living Donor
Buddy....
Because I had a full range of experience with donation.
I donated three times for the same recipient, the first time with
complications but the other two times were very easy. I also met my
recipient and her family, and I remain in contact with her family even
though my recipient passed away 17 months after the first transplant. I
wish I had had someone else who had been through it to answer my
questions... I had so many! I am ofter told that I am easy to talk to
and good at giving support and information.

Reasons why I would be an effective Living Donor
Buddy....
My life has been forever changed because of my donation
experience. I want more than anything to help others who are in a
similar situation as myself deal with all of the "goods" and the "bads"
of donation. The whole thing can be scary and thrilling for you and
your family. Always know that, no matter the outcome, the "goods" are
always greater than the "bads."
