Organ Donation After DeathIf you wish to donate your organs and tissue after your death, you need to do three things: 1. Educate yourself on organ and tissue donation. Details can found in the next section below. 2. Complete an organ donation card. In many states, you can designate your willingness to be an organ donor on your driver's license. Click here if you would like a donor card. 3. Tell your family members. You must do this step. In most states, it is possible for your family members, in their time of grief, to ignore your wishes to be a donor even if you have completed a donor card or have a donor designation on your driver's license. You must tell your family members of your wishes. Information on Organ DonationThere is lots of great information on organ and tissue donation on the web.
